No analytics trackers — no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel — and no browser fingerprinting. By default the only cookies are your locale and theme preference, a session cookie if you sign in, and your ad-consent choice once you answer the prompt. The only third-party script we ever load is Google AdSense, and only for non-members who explicitly accept ads — see “Advertising & cookies” below. Decline, and no ad script or ad cookie is loaded; members never see ads at all.
When you click an article, we store a hashed IP (sha256 with a daily-rotated salt) so we can rate-limit abuse and produce aggregate read counts. The raw IP is never written. Click rows contain no identifying fields.
When you subscribe to the briefing, we store your email address for the sole purpose of sending the daily bulletin. One-click unsubscribe is on every email and at the link below.
Hosting is on Cloudflare Workers and Supabase (US-East). The product is intentionally hosted outside of any country whose press it aggregates.
We store headlines and short snippets only — never article bodies. Every link routes to the original publisher.
Reading is free. To support that, we may show ads from Google AdSense to non-members. Ads load only after you accept the consent prompt; decline and no advertising script or cookie is loaded. When ads are on, AdSense sets its own cookies and we request non-personalized ads. Paid members never see ads — the ad-free entitlement is tied to your membership. You can change your choice any time by clearing the nashra_ad_consent cookie.
